4.3. TRAINING ON A COURSE

Before the practice session
1. Scroll to the Skiing mode.
2. Set the Reference altitude.
3. Set the Logbook interval to 2s.
4. Start the logbook.
5. During the first run, mark all the desired lap time spots:
Stop at every lap time gate and press Start in the Skiing mode. The gate altitudes are
saved in the Suunto S6 memory.
NOTE: You have to set the lap time spots at least 10 seconds apart from each other
so that the Ski Manager can handle them properly.

During the practice session
1. Scroll to the SkiChrono mode.
2. Measure the slope angle.
1. Press Start when you begin the run.
2. Press Stop/CL when you finish the run.
3. Because the slope angle is always the same, just press Start to start recording

each subsequent run.

After the practice session
1. Stop the logbook.
2. Transfer the logbook information to the Ski Manager for more detailed inspection.

Ski Manager creates charts of all the individual runs and creates a comparison of
lap times at the altitudes recorded before the practice session.

3. Compare the runs with each other to find out e.g. which parts of the run you need

to practice more.
