SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS

TO LEVEL MOWER HOUSING ,

Adjust the mower while tractor is parked on level ground or
driveway. Make sure tires are properly inflated (See

"PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS" on page 3). If tires are

over or under inflated, you will not properly adjust your

mower.

SIDE-TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT (See Figs. 20 and 21) -

Raise attachment lift lever to its highest position.

Measure height from bottom of deck curl to ground

level at front corners of mower. Distance "A“ should be

the same.

If distance "A" needs to be changed, snap out access

hole cover on left side of tractor above footrest,

To raise left side of mower, loosen nut "B" and tighten
nut "C".

To Sower left side of mower, loosen nut "C" and tighten
nut ”B",

When distance "A" is equal, securely tighten nuts "B"
and "C".

Replace access hole cover.

FRONT-TO-BACK ADJUSTMENT (See Figs. 22 and 23) -

To obtain the best cutting results, the mower housing

should be adjusted so that the front is approximately 3/8" tc

1 /2" lower than the rear when the mower is in Its highes'

position.
Check adjustment on right side of tractor. Measure diS'
tance "D” at front and rear flanges of mower housing

as

shown.

on both front links an equal number of turns.

When distance "D" is 3/8" to 1/2" lower at front thar

rear, tighten nuts “F" against trunnion on both frorr
links,

To raise front of mower, loosen nut "F" from trunnion or
both front links. Turn nut "E" clockwise on both frorr
links an equal number of turns.

When distance “D" is 3/8" to 1/2" lower at front thar

rear, retighten nut "F" against trunnion on both frott
links.

IMPORTANT: WHEN ADJUSTING FRONT LiNH

TRUNNIONS, ALWAYS ADJUST BOTH EQUALLY

MOWER WILL STAY LEVEL SIDE-TO-SIDE.

o Recheck side-to-side adjustment.
