TROUBLE SHOOTING POINTS
TROUBLE CAUSE CORRECTION
Dlfficull atarting Defective spark plug
Water or dirt in fuel system
Replace defective plug.
Use carburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with fresh
fuel.
Engine runa erratically Blocked fuel line or low on fuel Clean fuel line; check fuel supply; add fresh
fuel (gasoiine/oil mixture if 2 cycle engine).
Engine alalls Unit running on CHOKE Set choke lever to RUN position.
Engine runa erratically;
Loaa of power
Water or dirt in fuel system Use carburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with fresh
fuel.
Carburetor out of adjustment Adjust carburetor.
Excessive vibration
Loose parts; damaged impeller Stop engine immediately and disconnect spark plug wire
Tighten ail bolts and make all necessary repairs. If vibration
continues, have the unit serviced by a competent repairman.
Unit falls to propel

Drive belt loose or damaged Replace drive belt.
Incorrect adjustment of traction

Adjust traction drive cable.
Worn or damaged friction wheel Replace friction wheel.
Unit falls to
discharge snow
Auger drive belt loose or damaged Adjust auger drive belt; replace if damaged.
Auger control cable not adjusted

Adjust auger control cable.
Shear bolt broken Replace shear bolt
Discharge chute clogged Stop engine immediately and disconnect spark plug wire
Clean discharge chute and inside of auger housing
Foreign object lodged in auger Slop engine immediately and disconnect spark plug wire
Remove object from auger.
Headiight does not work Loose wire connection Tighten connection
Bulb burned out Replace headlight bulb.
