PROGRAMMING OTHER

COMPONENTS

The ARCAM CR80 can control up to eight differerit components. Perform

the following instructions for each component you want controlled:

1

Turn on a component (e.g. VCR) and. If applicable, insert media

(e,g„ cassette or disc).

NOTE: Please read steps 2-4 completely before proceeding. We recommend
highlighting or writing down the codes and device you wish to program
before moving onto step 2.

2

On the ARCAM CR80, press a component key once (i.e., CBL, DVD,
VCR, TV, SAT, CD, or AUX). This feature is not applicable for the
AMP key because it has only one dedicated code in this mode for

Arcam amplifiers.

3

Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.

4

Use the Manufacturer's Codes (in the back of the manual, page
24 ■ 27) to locate the type of component and brand name and then
enter the first four-digit code for your component, tf performed
correctly, the LED will blink twice,

NOTE: if the LED did not blink twice, then repeat steps 2 through 4 and try

entering the same code again.

5

Aim the ARCAM CR80 at the component and press PWR once. It

should turn off. If it does not respond, repeat steps 2-4, trying each
code for your brand until you find one that works, If it still does not

work, try searching for the code (see Searching For Your Code).

NOTE: If the device does not have a PWR key, press PLAY.

6

Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each corriponent you want the ARCAM

CR80 to control.

NOTE: If you want the Arcam AV8 zone 2, system code 19 function, then

this device must be setup under the AUX key only.
