4.5.2 Zero Fault

A “ZERO FAULT” warning and a flashing spanner symbol

appears after warm-up if the instrument is switched on

in the presence of gas or the instrument has been unable to
zero all sensors correctly.

The screen backlighting illuminates red, the audible alarm
sounds once every 2 seconds and the red LED’s flash.

It is strongly recommended the instrument is returned to a
gas free area. Switch the instrument OFF and then switch
ON again in fresh air. If the fault persists, return the
instrument to a GMI approved Service / Repair facility..

The instrument can however still be used to detect and alarm
on the other sensor(s) fitted. Press the Right Hand (RH)

button

, as per the screen prompt, to continue.

The faulty sensor will cause the instrument to display a
flashing spanner symbol to warn the user that this sensor is
not working correctly, as shown in Fig. 4-7:
