Accessing the Diagnostic Web Server
To access the Diagnostic Web Server, enter the IP
address of the networked player into the address bar of a
web browser. Follow these steps to find the IP address of
the player:
1. Power off the player by unplugging the power
supply.
2. Remove the SD card (as well as the internal µSD or
card or SSD drive, if applicable).
3. Power on the BrightSign player by reconnecting the
power supply.
4. Wait for the player to boot up: The serial number,
firmware version, and IP address of the player will
be displayed on the screen.
To access the
Local Web Server , enter the same IP
address as above, with the addition of port 8008 at the
end (e.g. “10.1.0.99:8008”).
Note: Since the Local Web Server is used to modify User
Variables on a player, it will be inaccessible if the current
presentation has no User Variables.
