General Maintenance

NOTE: Do not touch a halogen bulb with bare fingers. Oil from skin

leaves a residue, causing a hot spot that will shorten the life of the

lamp.

Headlights

Removing Halogen Bulbs - High/Low Beam
1. Pinch the ends of the spring (1)

together and lift until it releases

from the spring retainer.

2. Lift the spring carefully around

the wire harness (2) and flip to

the outside of the housing.

3. With the wire harness attached to

the bulb (3), withdraw the bulb

from the housing.

4. Grasp the bulb by the metal base

and carefully separate it from the

harness.

Installing the Bulb
1. Hold the bulb by the metal base

and install it into the wire harness.

2. Insert the bulb into the housing.
3. Carefully flip the spring back into

the housing, placing it around the

wire harness.

4. Squeeze the spring together until it’s over the spring retainer and

release.

5. Verify headlight aim.
Removing Halogen Bulbs - High Beam
1. Remove the wire harness (4).
2. Gasp the bulb (5) firmly and twist it 1/2 turn counterclockwise.
3. Remove the bulb from the housing and replace it with a new bulb.
4. Place the bulb and housing back inside the hole and turn the

housing 1/2 turn clockwise to lock into place.

5. Reinstall the wire harness to the housing.
