Connecting Your Router

1. Place your router in a location where it will be well ventilated. Do

not stack it with other devices or place it on carpet.

2. Connect your PC directly to any of the router’s four Ethernet ports,

using one of the red straight-through cables. You may also connect

one to seven additional Ethernet devices to the router’s built-in

Ethernet hub.

3. Connect your router to the DSL jack using the remaining Ethernet

10Base-T, RJ-45 cable.

4. Connect the router to an AC power outlet using the power cord.

CAUTION:

To reduce the risk of fire, use only no. 26 AWG or larger

on your router to the telephone jack.
