The functions

Suppe (grob)

[

Soup (chunky)

]

You can use this function to prepare soups that
contain small chunks (e.g. vegetable pieces).
The contents are alternately heated and mixed.
After around 30 minutes the appliance stops
automatically.

Suppe (fein)

[

Soup (smooth)

]

You can use this function to prepare creamy soups
in which the ingredients are pureed and practically
no lumps remain. The contents are alternately
heated and mixed. After around 20 minutes the
appliance stops automatically.

Erwärmen (Heat up)
Use this function to re-heat soups that have already
been cooked. The contents are alternately heated
and mixed. After 10 minutes the appliance stops
automatically.

Pulse
You can use this function to blend or froth up the
contents without heating. To do this, press the PULSE
button t until the ingredients have reached the
desired consistency.

Mixen (Blend)
You can use this function to mix ingredients without
heating them. It can be used, for instance, to prepare
smoothies, milk shakes and crèmes.

Kochen/Dampf (Boil/steam)
Use this function to cook the ingredients without
mixing.
After around 15 minutes the appliance stops
automatically.
You can also use this function to boil eggs (see
chapter “Operating the appliance”).

Operating the appliance

TIPS

Only use appliance for liquid contents. If you
only add solid ingredients, such as diced
carrots, the blade 4 will not reach and chop
them properly.
The appliance can only work properly in
combination with liquids.

Always fi ll with liquid up to at least the
MINIMUM/0.3 Liter marking.

Fill the appliance with liquid up to the respec-
tive maximum markings (MAXIMUM/1.7
Liter, SUPPE MAXIMUM/1.2 Liter, DAMPF
MAXIMUM/0.5 Liter). Otherwise the appli-
ance can overfl ow!

Always fi ll the appliance with ingredients and
liquid up to the respective minimum fi ll level
markings MINIMUM/0.3 Liter, SUPPE MINI-
MUM/0.5 Liter. Otherwise the appliance will
not start or will not prepare the ingredients
properly.

After completing the programmes SUPPE
(GROB), SUPPE (FEIN), KOCHEN/DAMPF
and ERWÄRMEN, the appliance must be
allowed to cool down before another
programme which generates heat (SUPPE
(GROB), SUPPE (FEIN), KOCHEN/DAMPF,
ERWÄRMEN) can be started.

Preparing soups

1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

The appliance emits an acoustic signal.

2) Cut the vegetables into pieces of around 2 cm

size and place these in the blender jug 3.

3) Fill the blender jug 3 up to no more than the

maximum marking SUPPE MAXIMUM/1.2 Liter
with water or stock.

4) Press the EIN/AUS button e. The appliance

emits an acoustic signal. All control lamps
fl ash.

5) Press the required button: SUPPE (GROB) w or

SUPPE (FEIN) u. Two signal tones will confi rm
your selection and the corresponding signal
lamp will fl ash.
