Note:
With the “super fast” unload button, the tape
drive will unload the tape even if an error is
present during the unload procedure, unless the
error is a serious hardware error as follows:
■
The tape drive is unable to remove the tape
from
the tape path and spool all of it into the cartridge.
In this case, the tape drive does not eject the
cartridge. This prevents the cartridge lid from
closing on the exposed tape.
■
The front load motor is not functioning. In this
case, the tape drive is physically incapable of
ejecting the cartridge.
