Chapter 2: Setup and Installation

Euphonix is dedicated to making your MC Control experience enjoyable and trou-
ble-free so we will periodically update the following software and documentation:

EuControl: This software runs your MC Control and communicates to your audio/
video application. Always download the new version if prompted to do so when you
launch EuControl.

MC Control User Guide (PDF): This is the complete user guide for your MC Control
and the document you are currently reading.

EuCon Application Setup Guide (PDF): The MC Control supports many applications,
each with a slightly different setup procedure. This document includes supplemen-
tary instructions for each application.

Setting Up the MC Control

Unpack your MC Control, power adapter, AC power cord, installation CD, Ethernet
crossover cable, and riser brackets from its box.

2.1.1

Elevating the MC Control

The MC Control can be elevated or angled using small foldout legs on the bottom
of the unit or elevated and angled by attaching the larger riser brackets. Since ei-
ther method requires turning the MC Control over, it is easier to do this before
attaching any cables. Turn it over and place it on a soft surface.

Pull out all four of the small foldout legs to moderately elevate the unit; pull out
only the back two to angle the unit towards you (Figure 2-1 left).
