INTRODUCTION

The Trave re-amplification box is used as an essential tool for high-quality electric guitar recording in both profes-
sional and home sound studios. As a connecting link, it allows an already recorded, dry guitar signal to be repro-
duced unadulterated and transmitted with appropriate adaptation to a guitar amplifier, where it can, in turn, be
picked up and recorded by microphone. This allows the sound engineer to experiment with the instrument sound
using different amplifiers, guitar effects, microphones, and microphone positions at their leisure, and record mul-
tiple versions of the processed guitar signal on separate tracks of a DAW without the need for a guitarist to be
present. The re-amplification box also has an internal transformer that can effectively prevent ground loops.
