Troubleshooting

Can’t install/uninstall the driver

• Did you log onto Windows as a user with administrative privileges?

In order to install/uninstall/re-install the MA-1EX driver in Windows, you must log onto Windows as a
user with administrative privileges, such as Administrator.

You are asked for the driver file even though you installed the driver

• Did you connect the MA-1EX to a different USB connector than the one you used when installing

the driver?

If your computer or USB hub has two or more USB connectors, and you connect the MA-1EX to a USB
connector to which you have not previously connected it, this dialog box may appear even though you
have already installed the driver.
Install the drivers once again as described in

“Getting Connected and Installing Drivers English”

(p. 6).

This is not a malfunction.

The MA-1EX Driver Is Not Installed Correctly.

Use the procedure described in

Bus controllers.”

If you find

delete it.

Problems when using the MA-1EX

OS becomes unstable

• Starting up a computer when the MA-1EX is already connected may cause the computer to become

cause operation to become unstable. In this case, start up the computer with the MA-1EX disconnected,
and then connect the MA-1EX.
