When connecting a cord, be sure to match the color-coded
pins to the appropriate jacks on the components.

TV Connection - Normal (Connection Cable

Included):

To view the video from DVD discs on your TV set connect

the Video Out jack of this system to the Video In jack of your
TV set. The Video jacks are usually colored yellow. Use the
included video cable with yellow plugs on each end.

TV Connection - S-Video (Cable Not Included):

If your TV set has an S-Video Input Jack you can connect

your TV to the S-Video Out Jack on the back of this system.
(The S-Video connection cable is not included). The
S-Video connection will provide the best picture quality if
your TV is equipped to handle S-Video signals. We
recommend using the S-Video connection if your TV has an
S-Video input jack.

TV Connection-Audio (Connection Cables Not

Included):

If your Stereo TV has Left/Right audio output jacks you can

listen to the sound of your TV set through the speakers of
this system. Connect the Left/Right audio output jacks of
your TV set to the Left/Right audio input jacks (AUX 1 or AUX
2) of this system.

VCR Connection-Audio (Connection Cables Not

Included):

To listen to the sound from your stereo VCR through the

speakers of this system, connect the Left/Right audio output
jacks of your stereo VCR to the Left/Right audio input jacks
(AUX 1 or AUX 2) of this system.

External Decoder Connections - Not Required:

This DVD player has its own built in Dolby Digital decoder

that provides digital 5.1 channel Surround Sound audio
from DVD movies encoded with Dolby Digital soundtracks.
No external decoders are required. However we have also
included both Coaxial and Optical type digital audio output
jacks that allow the digital audio signals to be fed to an
external Dolby Digital decoder if desired. The Coaxial and
Optical digital audio connection cables are not included.

Basic Connection Diagram:

The diagram below represents a typical connection. In this

diagram you can view the picture from DVD movie discs on
your TV set. You can also play the sound from your stereo
TV set and the sound from your stereo VCR through the
speakers of this system.

Notes

The Power Requirement is: AC 120 V, 60Hz.
Connecting to power other than the one listed above may
damage the system or cause abnormal operation.
Before connecting the AC power cord of this system to a
wall outlet, connect the speakers and other component cables
to the system.
Connect the AC power cord of the active subwoofer.
Connect the AC power cords of your TV and any optional
components to a wall outlet.
