Step 10 – In XenCenter, highlight the XPSP2-02-RS-1 storage repository. Right click on the storage
repository and select Detach Storage Repository. Select Yes that the storage repository is to be
detached. Right click on the storage repository and select Forge Storage Repository. Select Yes that
the storage repository is to be forged.

Step 11- In the XenCenter Console, select New Storage. Select the iSCSI Virtual disk storage type.
Enter the iSCSI storage name XPSP2-02-RS-1, the iSCSI target portal, and select Discover IQNs. Select
the XPSP2-02-RS-1 iSCSI volume. Select Discover LUNs and Finish. Select Reattach to preserve the
existing data from the replication. Note the new UUID of the storage repository. Do not select format;
otherwise the VM and data on the volume will be lost. The XPSP2-02-RS-1 volume will now be
attached and seen to the XenServer resource pool.

Step 12 – In the XenCenter Console, select New VM. Select the template appropriate for the cloned
VM on the XPSP2-02-RS-1 storage repository. In this example, Windows XP SP2 is selected. Enter the
name for the VM, XPSP2-02-RS-1. Select an ISO image. Note that an ISO image will not be required
as the cloned operating system will already be installed on the virtual disk on the cloned iSCSI
storage repository. Select the location for the virtual machine and the vCPUs and memory. Leave the
default virtual disk as this will need to be edited later and changed to use the previously reattached
