Removal/Replacement Instructions
This section describes removal and replacement for the
HP-PB 100VG-AnyLAN Network Adapter.
WARNING Unless otherwise noted in your system manuals, removal of the
network adapter should only be done with power removed from
the host computer. Failure to comply may result in an electrical
shock hazard, or in damage to the hardware.
CAUTION The adapter contains electronic components that can be damaged by
static electricity. To avoid damage, follow these guidelines:
• Store adapters in their conductive plastic bags.
• If possible, work in a static-free area.
• Handle adapters only by the edges. Do not touch electronic
components or electrical traces. We strongly recommend that you use
a grounding wrist strap that is connected to the metallic chassis of
the computer. If you do not have a wrist strap, touch the chassis
before handling adapters, and frequently or continuously thereafter,
to equalize any static charge.
