General Maintenance and Troubleshooting

DL.1 User Manual

Caution: Minimize the exposure of DL-1 fixtures to both glycol fog and

mineral oil. Do not situate DL-1 in areas of high fog density such as
directly in front of a fog machine or mineral oil hazer.

Replacing Parts

Warnings: Disconnect power before servicing.

Replace fuses with the specified type and rating only.

Equipment surfaces may reach temperatures up to 130° C (266° F).

Allow the fixture to cool before handling.

Replacing Filters

The fixture filters should be
checked whenever the display
flashes Service Filter.

To access the fixture filter:

1. Lock the fixture head in

place using the 90

°

pan

lock and the 0

°

tilt lock

settings as shown in
Figure 2-9 on page 2-12.

2. Unlatch and remove the

rear bezel assembly.

3. Loosen the two quarter-

turn screws on the top
cover and remove the top
cover.

4. Slide the top cover back

to free it from the front
bezel.

Inspect the filters:

5. Lift the prefilter away

from the filter bracket

6. Remove the two philips

pan screws securing the
filter bracket and lift the
filter unit off the fixture. Inspect both filters.

7. A dirty prefitler can cause an early Service Filter warning. If only the prefilter

looks dirty, clean it with water. Thoroughly dry the prefilter before proceeding.
