Controls and displays
Starting up and operation
Indicators on the control panel
Power-on indicator (dual color)
Lights orange when the server is switched off but mains voltage 
is present.
Lights up green when the server is switched on and ready.
Hard drive activity indicator (green)
Flashes green when an internal hard disk drive is being 
accessed.
Global Error indicator (red)
Does not light up when the system is OK. No service incident or 
critical event has occurred.
Lights up red when a predictable error has been detected. Users 
can check the system and event log or via 
ServerView
for more
detailed information.
Flashes red when a critical event has occurred. Users can check 
for event details in the BIOS Setup, the system and event log or 
via 
ServerView
.
If the event is still acute after a power failure, the indicator is 
activated after the restart.
ID
ID indicator (blue)
Lights up blue when the system has been selected by pressing 
the ID button. To deactivate, press the button again.
The ID indicator can also be activated via
ServerView
and its status
reported to
ServerView
.
