CLI commands

The FortiLog CLI commands include:

execute branch

get branch

set branch

unset branch

execute branch

Use execute to run static commands, to reset the FortiLog unit to factory defaults, to

back up or restore FortiLog configuration files, and to reboot or shut down the FortiLog
system.

Commands

Description

execute reload

If you set your console to batch mode, use this command to flush the

current configuration from system memory and reload the configuration

from a saved configuration file.

execute restore config <string>
<xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx>

Restore system settings from tftp server.
• <string> is the configuration file name on the tftp server.
• <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx> is the IP address of the tftp server.

execute restore image <string>
<xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx>

Restore system images from tftp server.
• <string> is the image file name on the tftp server.
• <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx> is the IP address of the tftp server.

execute backup config <name_str>
<xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx>

Backup system settings to tftp server.
• <name_str> is the system configuration file name.
• <xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx> is the IP address of the tftp server.

execute reboot

Restart the FortiLog system.

execute factoryreset

Set the FortiLog system back to factory defaults.

execute save config

Save the FortiLog system configuration.

execute shutdown

Shut down the FortiLog system.

execute formatlogdisk

Format the local log hard disk.
