Z Using viewfinder
When using the viewfinder to take pictures, press DISP/
BACK to turn the LCD monitor off. Turning the LCD
monitor off conserves battery power.

Frame the shot so that the subject fills the center of the
viewfinder. When taking a picture at a distance of 1 m to
2 m (3.3 ft. to 6.6 ft.) using the viewfinder, only the shaded
area in the figure is photographed.

Z Viewfinder lamp display
The viewfinder lamp lights or blinks when turning on the
camera or pressing the shutter button. The viewfinder
lamp shows camera status.

Holding the camera correctly

• The viewfinder cannot be used to take shots in Macro

mode.

• For more precise shot framing, use the LCD monitor to

take the picture.
