Unfinalizing
How to unfinalize, erase a track, or erase a
CD-RW disc

Only CD-RW discs can be erased.

If the CD-RW disc has been finalized it must first
be unfinalized before it can be erased.

With the CD-RW disc in the CDR drive and at
stop:

1. Push and release the ERASE button.

2. Press and release the REC LEVEL/SELECT
control to unfinalize.

down (a) and UNFINAL (b) is displayed.

TRACK

and PRESS RECORD.

4. To erase the last track on the CD-RW disc
Press and release the Record button .

Note
You cannot select an early track to erase. Only
the last track on the disc can be erased, or the
entire disc.

Or press and release the ERASE button again.
The display alternates between ERASE DISC
and PRESS RECORD.

5. To erase the entire CD-RW disc Press and
release the Record button .

Or press and release the CDR drive Stop button

to exit erase mode.
