Using the Air Gap

Pulling the SET Button at the bottom of the paddle out as far as it will go (about 1/8”) opens mechanical
contacts that remove all power from SwitchLinc Dimmer and the load that it controls. “Air gapping” can be
useful for replacing bulbs or any other time you want the controlled circuit to be unpowered.

Because SwitchLinc Dimmer’s settings are stored in non-volatile memory, setup information will not be
lost when the unit unpowered.

BE CAREFUL

If you press the SET Button in too far when you undo the air gap, you might inadvertently reset
SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer to its factory default settings. Just push the button in until its top is even with
the Trim Frame.
