Audio Settings

The default settings are underlined.

Selects the jack type to output audio signals.
2-channel Linear PCM signals are output at
48 kHz maximum from output jacks other
than the priority jacks.

To obtain the best possible surround sound,
set the speakers you have connected and their
distance from your listening position.
Then use the test tone to adjust the volume
and the balance of the speakers to the same
level.
This setting is selectable when “Audio
Output Priority” is set to “Multi Channel
Analogue.”

To set the speakers

Select “Speaker Settings” in “Audio
Settings,” and press ENTER.

Select “Size” or “Distance,” and press
ENTER.

Select a setup item using

M/m, and press

ENTER.

Size

Selects the size of the speakers.
• Front

• Centre

• Surround

Audio Output Priority

HDMI

Outputs audio signals from
the HDMI OUT jack.

Coaxial/
Optical

Outputs audio signals from
the DIGITAL OUT
(OPTICAL/COAXIAL)
jack.

Multi Channel
Analogue

Select this when connecting
an AV amplifier (receiver)
via the MULTI CHANNEL
OUTPUT jacks.

Stereo
Analogue

Outputs audio signals from
the LINE OUT (R-AUDIO-
L) jacks.

Headphones

Outputs audio signals from
the headphone jack
(page 42).

Speaker Settings

Normally select this
position.

Small

Select this when the
speakers cannot reproduce
adequate low frequencies.

Large

Normally select this
position.

Small

Select this when the speaker
cannot reproduce adequate
low frequencies.

None

Select this if you do not
connect a centre speaker.
