2A. Phone Basics

Simple Data Exchange

This feature makes it easy to select certain information
from a text, email, or picturemail message and
automatically save it or use it in a related application.

Simple Data Exchange works with these types of
information:

Email addresses

Street addresses

Phone numbers

Web addresses (URLs)

Email Address Options

Highlight an email address (or a saved Contacts
entry name in the From/To field in the message
details screen), press

, and select an option:

Send Message

to select

Text Message

,

Picture Mail

,

Email

, or

Voice SMS

. The selected messaging

application will open and the email address will
appear as the message’s recipient.

Share

to select

Text Message

or

Email

. The selected

application will open and the email address will
appear in the message body.

Save to Contacts

to save the email address in

Contacts.

Contact Details

to display the Contacts entry if the

email address is already saved in Contacts.

Street Address Options

Highlight a street address, press

, and select an

option:

Navigate

to show directions to the address using

Sprint Navigation.

Map

to show the address location on a map.

Share

to select

Text Message

or

Email

. The selected

application will open and the address will appear
in the message body.

Save to Contacts

to save the address in Contacts.

Phone Number Options

Highlight a phone number (or a saved Contacts
entry name in the From/To field in the message
details screen), press

, and select an option:

Call

to call the phone number.

Prepend

to prepend a number to the phone

number.
