Retrieving a text message

When a text message is received, it is sent to your
Text InBox and you are alerted by:
• A note: “New Message: 1 Text”.
• A symbol:

, which flashes if the message is

urgent.

If you see the New Message note
You can choose to:

View

the message

Press

.

Ignore

the message

Press

right

and

select

Ignore

.

Clear

the screen

Press

.

If you see the

symbol

Messages

Text InBox

.

A list of all your received messages appears.
New, unread messages appear in

bold

.

indicates an “Urgent” message.

Press

up or down to scroll through the

list of messages.

Press

to read a message.

If the message is long, press

down to view

the entire message.

When you are finished, select an option from
the bottom of the screen:

– Reply

to the sender.

Erase

the current message.

– Save

the message to your

Filed

folder.

– Sender

allows you to view the sender’s

information. You can select an option to
save it to the Contacts directory.

– Forward

the message.

– Done

returns you to the

Text InBox

.

Press

to see information such as callback

number, email address, or URL. (If a callback
number is included with the message, press

again to call the number.)

Erasing text messages

You have the option of erasing messages as you
read them, erasing them one-at-a-time from the list
in the Text InBox, or erasing them all at once. It is a
good idea to erase old messages, as you have
limited memory on your phone.
