Entering accented characters
If your phone is set to a language other than
English, use the following key references to enter
accented characters using
mode.
Changing text entry modes
In order to enter characters belonging to another
text entry mode, you need to change modes. For
example, to enter numbers in an email address
while you’re in
Normal Text mode, you
change to Number mode, enter the number,
and then change back to mode to complete
the address.
To change text entry modes, you can either:
• Press
to switch modes.
-or-
• Press right to highlight the current text
mode, press to enter the menu, then
select a different mode.
