Hard Disk Passwords

Two types of the hard disk passwords help protect the information stored
on the hard disk:

ƒ

Hard disk user password

ƒ

Hard disk master password, which requires a hard disk user password

When you have set Master password and user password as the Hard Disk
password, you must enter either of the passwords to access to the Hard
Disk.

To Set a Hard Disk Password:

Turn on your computer. Press F2, while the initial screen is displayed.
The InsydeH2O Setup Utility screen opens.

Select Security, using the cursor directional keys.

Select Set Hard Disk User Password, and press the Enter key. “Set
Hard Disk User Password” box opens.

Choose your HDD User Password, which can be from two to eight
alphanumeric characters in any combination. Type it in the Enter New
Password

field.

Press the Enter key once to move to the Confirm New Password field.
Retype the password you just entered to verify it.

Select Set Hard Disk Master Password, and press the Enter key. “Set
Hard Disk Master Password” box opens.
