Identifying the multipurpose feeder or the manual feed slot

Loading media

Load envelopes with the flap side up.
Warning:
Never use envelopes with stamps, clasps, snaps, windows, coated linings, or self-stick adhesives.
These envelopes may severely damage the printer. Do not feed stamped envelopes into the
multipurpose feeder. The stamp is shown in the illustration only for placement.

Adjust the guide to lightly touch the side of the stack of media. Ensure the media is under the stack height limiter
and the tab.

Slide the media gently into the multipurpose feeder until it comes to a stop. Media should lie flat on the
multipurpose feeder.
