CHAPTER 3 Moving Around in Applications
Working with files and folders
You can work with the files and folders in the Files application—create new folders; copy, beam,
and delete files and folders; and more. You can work with one file or folder at a time.

Open Files.

Navigate to the file or folder you want.

Work with the file or folder:
a. Tap and hold the item name to
open a menu that lets you
perform any of the following
tasks:
Open With Select the application
to use to open a file.
Rename Rename the selected item.
Details View details such as name, including extension for files; location on
the internal drive or expansion card; last date modified; and, for files only, size.
Check the box to make the selected item read-only, meaning that it cannot be
changed by a user. You can rename or delete a file or folder from the details
dialog box.

You can choose to make
the application you select
the default application for
opening this file type.
Tip
You can also highlight a
file or folder and then
press Right on the 5-way
to open the menu of
tasks.
