Making and Answering Calls

Phone calls

Handset is off the base unit:
Press

.

Handset is on the base unit:
Lift the handset and press

.

The TALK indicator will light.

Dial the telephone number.

If noise interferes with the conversation,
press

to select a clear channel or

move closer to the base unit.

When finished talking, press

or

place the handset on the base unit.

The TALK indicator will turn off.

Note:

You can also dial by pressing

on the

base unit. When the other party answers, press

.

If short beeps sound when you press

— move towards the base unit, or
— place the handset on the base unit.
Then try again.

If

is pressed while using the base unit, the

call is switched to the handset and the base unit is
disconnected.

Making a call

Handset is off the base unit:
Press

when the handset rings.

You can also answer a call by pressing
any dial key 0 to 9,

or #.

(Any key talk feature)

Handset is on the base unit:
Lift the handset when the base unit rings.

When finished talking, press

place the handset on the base unit.

Paging the handset from the base unit
(Handset locator)

Using this feature, you can locate the handset

if it has been misplaced.

1. Base unit:

Press

.

The base unit will start paging the handset

for 1 minute.

To stop paging, press

again.

2. Handset:

Press

to answer the paging.

This operation can only be ended by

pressing on the handset again.
