Taking Pictures

By only pressing the shutter button, the
exposure (shutter speed and aperture value)
will be automatically adjusted and the picture
will be taken. (Refer to P45 for
aperture-priority. Refer to P46 for
shutter-priority.)

[Preparation]
• Insert the card. (P15)
• Set the power switch to [ON]. (P17)

Set the mode dial to [P/A/S]. (P25)

Press the [MENU] button.

3/4 to select [AE MODE].

Press

2/1 to set to [P].

Press the [MENU] button.

• The menu will disappear.

After centering the subject in the
AF area

1 on the LCD monitor/

Viewfinder, press the shutter button
halfway.

• When the focus is adjusted, the focus

indication [

¥] 2 appears.

• When the focus indication flashes, the

focus is not adjusted. Press the shutter
button halfway to adjust the focus
again.

• The shutter speed and the aperture

value

3 are automatically adjusted and

displayed on the LCD monitor/
Viewfinder.

• When the subject is out of the AF area,

use the AF/AE lock. (P55)

Press the shutter button fully to take
the picture.

• After taking a picture, when the auto

review (P82) is set to [ON], the picture
is displayed on the LCD monitor/
Viewfinder for about 1 or 3 seconds.
