Lubrication

Gearcase Oil
Check and change the gearcase oil
at the intervals outlined in the
Periodic Maintenance Table
beginning on page 88.
Polaris recommends the use of
Polaris Synthetic Chaincase Lube.
See page 133 for the part numbers
of Polaris products.
The dipstick (A) is located on the
lower front side of the gearcase.
Maintain the oil level in the safe
operating range (B), between the
upper and lower marks on the
dipstick.
Oil Check
1. Position the vehicle on a
level surface.
2. Remove the dipstick and
wipe it dry with a clean
cloth. Reinstall the
dipstick.
3. Remove the dipstick and
view the oil level.
4. Add the recommended oil as needed. Do not overfill.
5. Reinstall the dipstick.
