Before Starting
Important: Before you install your new NEUTON Trimmer or begin using it, take the time to
carefully and completely read the information in “Chapter 2: Important Safety
Considerations.” Also, read the other chapters in this manual to familiarize yourself with the
Trimmer before installing and operating it.
Perform the following checks before operating your Trimmer each time.

Make sure all bolts, attachments, and covers are in place and securely attached. Inspect for any
visible damage to the Trimmer, and remove any accumulation of dirt, dust, or dried grass
clippings.

Make sure that the cord spool is properly attached to the Trimmer.
■
Be sure the battery is fully charged.
■
If you are using the Trimmer with the NEUTON Mower, be sure the Mower/Auxiliary Switch
is set to Auxiliary.
■
Push the machine (before starting it) to the area to be edged or trimmed.
WARNING! Remove the safety key from your Mower or Power Pod until you
have completed all of the pre-start checks, installed the Trimmer, and moved to
the work area.
