Choose whether to upload pictures

immediately.

Choose [Yes] and press d to upload all the queued
pictures. Check to ensure a wireless LAN access point
is available. Proceed to step 6.
Choose [No] and press d to finalize picture selection
and recipient specification in the queue. The camera
will exit to the last shooting or playback mode selected.

Connect to a wireless LAN and upload pictures.

When pictures are uploaded for the first time, or the camera does not detect the

SSID with which pictures were uploaded previously, select the desired SSID in the

select SSID screen. For more information on choosing the desired SSID, see

“Choosing the Desired SSID and Uploading Pictures” (c 146).
If the camera detects the SSID with which pictures were uploaded previously,

picture upload will be initiated automatically. To cancel upload, press d. When

upload is complete, the message, [Transfer complete. Connection terminated.],

will be displayed. After upload is complete, press d.

Sending Picture Mail in the Queue

• When d is pressed in shooting or playback mode, the queue mail screen shown in step 3

will be displayed (c 141). Confirm the selected pictures and specified recipients, and press

the shutter-release button to send Picture Mail in the queue. To cancel the queue, cancel

the recipients or groups specified for pictures and press the shutter-release button.

• When a Picture Bank upload is initiated (c 143, 144), queued Picture Mails will be sent at

the same time. If there is no wish to upload queued Picture Mails at the time of a Picture

Bank upload (c 143, 144), press d before beginning picture upload to cancel the queue

in the queue mail screen.

Picture Size for Picture Mail

If pictures are shot with the image sizes greater than 1,600 × 1,200 pixels, their sizes will be

reduced to 1,600 × 1,200 pixels when uploaded to the my Picturetown server. If pictures are

shot with image sizes of 1,600 × 1,200 pixels or smaller, their sizes will remain unchanged

when uploaded to the my Picturetown server.

After Sending Picture Mail

When pictures are uploaded using Picture Mail, e-mail notification will be sent automatically

to the specified recipients for the intended pictures. Recipients can click the URL included in e-

mail notification to view the pictures stored on the my Picturetown server.

Mobile Telephones Compatible with Picture Mail

E-mail addresses for only certain models of mobile telephones, used in Japan and the United

States, are supported (c 134).

When pictures are uploaded using Picture Mail for the first time, e-

mail notification requesting user registration will be sent to the

sender e-mail address registered with the camera. Refer to the

instructions included in the e-mail notification received to register

user information using a computer as soon as possible (c 148).
