Chapter 3 Recordings

NUMBERING TRACKS

The tracks can be numbered automatically (auto mode) or manually (manual mode).

AUTO MODE
Auto mode can be used with either digital or analog recording.
The auto mode will add track numbers automatically, in one of two ways.
• When track data is present from a digital recording, it will be carried over to the new copy disc.
• In the auto mode for recordings from an analog source or a digital source with no track data, the track

number will be increased when the unit receives silence for 3 seconds (digital) or 10 seconds
(analogue). The unit will also go into the pause mode until the input source resumes.

MANUAL MODE
For digital or analog recordings, the track numbers may be added at any time by pressing TR. INCR. on the
remote control.

TO SWITCH THE NUMBERING MODE
Press AUTO/MANUAL repeatedly. When manual mode is selected, “MANUAL” lights.

DIGITAL RECORDING LEVEL CONTROL (DRLC)

The Digital Recording Level Control is adjusted manually (manual mode) or automatically (auto mode)
when the unit is recording digital source. You can increase or decrease digital recording level by using this
function.

MANUAL MODE
To adjust the Digital Recording Level Control manually, press DIGITAL LEVEL (UP or DOWN). The “DRLC”
lights. The Manual Digital Recording Level is adjusted from -3dB to +3dB (7 steps). If the Manual Digital
Recording Level is set to 0dB, “DRLC” will disappear.

AUTO MODE
To change to Automatic Digital Recording Level Control (A DRLC) mode, press A DRLC on the remote
control. The “A DRLC” lights.

To release the DRLC or A DRLC mode, select 0dB by pressing DIGITAL LEVEL (UP or DOWN) on the remote
control.
