Emergency Dial Number
You can store an important or frequently dialed number in the Emergency Dial
location and then dial it by pressing + (Emergency Dial).
Storing and Editing the Emergency Dial Number
1. In standby mode, press and hold + (Emergency Dial).
2. If the emergency dial location is empty,
Store Number
appears on the
display with a flashing cursor.
If a number is already stored in the emergency dial location,
Edit Number
appears on the display. Select
Edit Number
and press SELECT.
3. Use the number keys to enter the telephone number.
4. Press SELECT. A confirmation tone sounds and the screen displays
Number
Stored
.
Calling the Emergency Dial Number
In standby mode, press + (Emergency Dial). The number dials instantly.

Notes:
• You do not have to press TALK after pressing Emergency Dial.
• If Emergency Dial does not have a stored number, the handset beeps
rapidly and no number will be dialed.
Deleting the Emergency Dial Number
1. Press and hold + (Emergency Dial) while the phone is not in use.
2. Select
Delete Number
and press SELECT.
3. Select
Yes
and press SELECT.
Testing the Stored Emergency Number
If you store an emergency service’s number (police department, fire
department, ambulance) and you choose to test the stored number, make the
test call during the late evening or early morning hours to avoid peak demand
periods. Remain on the line to explain the reason for your call.
