2.7 EDIT PLOT LABELS
Option #7 Edit Plot Labels, on the Master menu allows the user to choose Plot Labels
for any OM-550 channel.
Plot Labels are text on the Hot Plot graph to identify the data from each individual
channel, the graph Title or other notes about the data.
For example, Channel 1 might be labeled as “Boiler Room Temperature”. The label
would be displayed near the channel 1 description on the Hot Plot screen.
To edit a plot label:
1. Press the key and the Plot Label screen will appear.

2. Enter the Plot title and channel labels by highlighting the text field and typing the
desired text. Press the [enter] key to move to the next text field to enter a
description. To skip a text field, press the up or down arrow key or press [esc] to
exit the screen.
The Plot Title will appear at the top of the Hot Plot screen and the channel labels will
appear at the bottom next to the appropriate channel number. Voltage channels display
their m & b values if there is no Plot Label.
The Plot labels are saved in the experiment files, for later use. When new data is read
from the OM-550, the software prompts the user if they want to use the existing Plot
Labels. Select YES to use the labels or NO to erase any labels previously established.
