LCD Display

The LCD display consists of two lines of 24 characters each and six icons—Talk,
Mute, Speaker, Message Waiting

, Ringer Off and Battery.

Base Station

The base station can be used on a surface or wall-
mounted unit. SW1 is located to the left of the power LED
is used for registration and test purposes only. The LED is
on when the base unit is powered on and blinks when the
base unit is in registration mode.

Note The handset and base unit of the DKT2404-DECT

are equipped with the same security code. For the
base unit to operate, it must be installed with the
matching handset.

Charging Unit

The handset comes with a charging unit (shown at right),
which can be wall-mounted or not, and has two slots.
The front slot functions as a cradle for the handset when
idle and a charger for the handset battery.

The rear slot is for spare battery charging. It
automatically discharges when it detects that discharging
is necessary.

LEDs - handset and battery indicate battery charging
status. The LEDs are red when charging, and are off when not charging.
