1. INSTALLATION

Before you use your Butler 1410 for the first time, you must first make sure the
battery is charged for 14 hours. If you do not do this, the telephone will not
work optimally.

For installation, do the following:
- Insert one end of the adaptor in the plug socket and the other end in the

adaptor connection on the back of the telephone.

- Connect one end of the telephone line to the telephone wall socket and the

other to the back of the telephone.

- Open the battery compartment.
- Correctly place the batteries in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment.
- Leave the handset on the base unit for 14 hours. The charge indicator on

the base unit will light up.

Battery indicator:

The battery is fully charged.

The battery is half drained (50%)

The battery is low. When the battery is low, you will hear a warning signal
and the batteries must be recharged!

Note: The maximum working time of the batteries is approx. 120 hours and the

maximum talk time is 10 hours! In the course of time the batteries will start to drain

faster. The batteries must then be replaced. You can buy new batteries from any DIY

outlet (3 rechargeable batteries, type AAA NiMH)!
