- The 2nd handset will only be automatically called if 2 handsets are

subscribed. If more than 2 handsets are subscribed:
• 'INT XXXXX' appears on the display. XXXXX are the numbers of the

handsets which can be called (e.g. 'INT-23--' only handset 2 and 3 can be
called).

• Dial the number of the handset you would like to call. Or press the

‘BACK’ key

(Softkey 1) to leave the menu.

- After finishing your call, press the Line key

to hang up or put the

handset back on the base unit.

4.5. Switching the hands-free function on/off

This function allows you to have a telephone conversation without holding the
receiver.
There are two ways of activating the hands-free function:
1. During a call:
- Press the Menu key during a call.
- ‘HANDSFREE’ appears on the display.
- Press the 'ON' key to activate the hands-free function or press 'BACK' to go

back.

- Press the 'OFF' key to switch off the hands-free function.

Caution: Using the hands-free function for a long time causes the battery to drain faster.

2.When the handset is placed in the charger:
- Press the Line key

and the telephone will automatically accept the call in

hands-free mode. When you take the handset out of the charger, hands-free
mode automatically switches to normal calling.

4.6. Setting the speaker volume

Use the Volume key to set the volume of the speaker (handset).
You can choose from 3 levels: Volume 1, 2 and 3.
During a call, you can change the volume as follows:
- Repeatedly press the Volume key.
- The current volume level appears on the display.

4.7. Call Duration Indicator on the Display

During a call the call duration appears on the display (hours:minutes:seconds).
E.g. " 01:02:30" for 1 hour, 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
The call duration remains visible on the display for 5 seconds after each call.
