The serial gigabit transceiver family of
devices from TI provides low power dissipa-
tion while enabling multigigabit transmission
over copper backplanes, cable and optical
links. The transceivers can be used in a
variety of applications, including Gigabit
Ethernet, 10-Gigabit Ethernet modules,
synchronous optical network (SONET) OC-48
and OC-192 based equipment, wireless
infrastructure backplanes and general-purpose
backplane applications.
