4.2 Handset Operation
When the function “HANDSET-ON” is set (see 3.4 To set the handset)

and you receive an incoming call, the caller’s telephone number or the

re c o rded name (see 4.4 To re c o rd a name) will be announced thro u g h

the Callmaster 250 and also through the receiver of your telephone

(this is for corded as well as for cordless telephones).

When the handset function is activated, the phone will ring once
when a call comes in and stops ringing for 10 seconds. Only during
these 10 seconds will the unit announce the number through the
handset of the phone. After that the phone will ring again and then

i t ’s no longer possible to hear the caller’s telephone number thro u g h
the handset.

4.2.1 You want to be connected with the caller
Pick up the handset and press the Flash button (R button) or wait for

6 seconds.

4.2.2 You don’t want to be connected with the caller

You put the handset back on the phone. The phone keeps ringing

until the caller hangs up or an answering machine answers the call.
The caller doesn’t know that you picked up the handset.

4.3 To check calls
E v e ry time you receive a phone call, the Caller-ID information is store d
in the phone’s memory. On the display appears the total number of
calls (“TOTAL”) and the total number of new calls (“NEW”) you
h a v e n ’t scrolled through yet. The multifunctional LED indicator blinks

slowly to inform you that you’ve received new calls.
• Press the Down button, you are moving from the most recent call

to the oldest call in the memory. When you have reached the
beginning of the list, “TOP OF LIST” is shown on the display.
