When gas pressure is too low
• pilot will not stay lit • burners will have delayed ignition
• heater will not produce specified heat
When gas quality is bad
• pilot will not stay lit • burners will produce flames and soot
• heater will backfire when lit
You may feel your gas pressure is too low or gas quality is bad. If so, contact your
local natural gas supplier.

ment part(s), call DESA International’s Technical Service Department at

• how heater was malfunctioning
• type of gas used (propane or natural gas)
• purchase date
Usually, we will ask you to return the defective part to the factory.
