dequeueing tone

three short tones indicating that the call for
which you requested Callback can now be
completed.

FPDC

(Floating Personal Dial Code) an extension
number associated with a person, but not a
particular telephone. This feature provides
the convenience of receiving calls at any
available telephone.

fast busy tone

repeating on/off tone indicating that the
dialed number or access code was busy,
restricted, misdialed, or the trunk group
was busy.

a telephone is off-hook when the handset
has been removed from its cradle, releasing
