StreetPilot 2820 Troubleshooting

The touch screen is not

responding to my taps.

Calibrate the screen. Press

. Follow the on-screen instructions.

The remote control does not

work.

Use the keys on the unit and touch the touch screen to operate the StreetPilot 2820.
Check that two AAA batteries are installed.
Check the polarity of the batteries (+ and -).
Install fresh batteries.
Aim the front of the remote toward the IR port on the front of the StreetPilot 2820.

How do I clear all my user

data?
I need to reset my StreetPilot

2820.

Turn off the StreetPilot 2820 and then turn it back on. During start up, press and hold the

FIND key

on the front of the StreetPilot 2820. Keep pressing

Find

until the message “Do you really want to

erase all user data?” appears. Touch

Yes

to clear all user data.

All original settings are restored. Your Recent Finds are also deleted.

My phone/headset will not

connect to my 2820.

Turn off your phone/headset. Turn it back on. The device should connect to the StreetPilot 2820. If

not, turn the device off and turn the StreetPilot 2820 off. Turn them back on.

How do I view weather and

stock information on my 2820?

You must have an XM antenna connected and an active XM subscription that includes weather and

stock data. Information about XM NavTraffic and XM Satellite Radio services can be found at the

XM NavTraffic Web site

or

www.xmradio.com

for XM Radio information.
