Secondary Control mode
Exclusive control of any channel by a third party protocol (switcher, editor
controller or 3

party device) can be achieved using the 2
n d
Controller feature of a
Playlist Panel. This feature allows switching the control between IPDirector and
the other device, when the port and protocol settings have been assigned to work
in Exclusive mode.
The 2
n d
Controller option is only available if the channel has been configured with
the IPDP protocol as the main controller in exclusive mode.
When the configuration has been set to parallel mode the control of the channel is
from either IPDirector or the 3
r d
Party device simultaneously and the second
control feature is inactive.
