LSx Trigger Converter

PN 6301

The PN 6301 is designed to convert the factory LSx crank trigger signal

to a 12 volt square wave signal that will trigger a conventional MSD 6 or

7-Series Ignition Control. The Converter is programmed for use on an

LS2/LS7 with a 58-tooth, 5 volt signal. It can also be used with LS1/LS6

(24-tooth, 12 volt signal) by cutting the Red wire loop (Figure 2).

TImIng AdjusTmenT

There are two rotary dials in the Converter that provide adjustment of

the timing from TDC to 50° BTDC. The timing is adjustable in one de-

gree increments.

Led

The LED indicates that the Converter is connected and functioning

when it is illuminated.

Connects to switched 12 volt source.

RED

BLACK

Connects to ground, chassis or engine.

YELLOW

Connects to the White (points) input of the MSD Ignition.

RED LOOP

Crank Trigger Select Loop. Programmed for LS2/LS7 engines with a 58-tooth,

5 volt signal. Cut this loop when used on LS1/LS6 engines with a 24-tooth, 12

volt signal.
