The control panel button sequence used to select a MICR printer feature is identical to the button sequence used
to access any standard Hewlett-Packard printer feature. To differentiate between a Hewlett-Packard and a TROY
printer feature, all TROY printer features will display the word
TROY at the top of each main menu.
T O ACCESS PRINTER FEATURES :
1. Press the Menu button until the desired menu is displayed.
2. Press the Item button until the desired item is displayed.
3. Press the Value button until the desired value is displayed.
4. Press the Select button to input the desired value. An asterisk will be displayed next to the selected value.
5. Press the Go button to place the printer back on line.
A valid administrator password must be entered at the printer control panel before access is allowed to any of the
TROY security features and settings. If an administrator password has not been previously set, then the default
password is blank (no password). The first three printer control panel buttons (Menu, Item and Value) can be
used to scroll forward or backward through the displayed selections. Press the printer control panel button on the
right side to scroll forward and the left side to scroll backward.
T O ENTER THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD (4100 S ERIES P RINTERS ):
1. Press the Menu button forward until the TROY SECURITY MENU appears.
2. Press the Item button forward until LOGIN appears.
3. Press the Item button forward until ADMIN PASSWORD appears.
4. Use the Value button to locate the first character of your password (0-9), and then press the Select button.
Repeat this step until all characters of your password have been entered.
