Therefore in practical application, the trans-
ducer has to be oriented so that lowest pos-
sible false echo signal strength is achieved.
Just focussing a large useful echo is there-
fore not always sufficient. In most cases, a
low false echo level enables the sensor to
reliably pick up the useful echo. With the
adjustment software VVO on the PC you can
have a look at the echo image, see chapter
"6.2 Adjustment with the PC“ under the sub-
heading "Sensor optimisation/Echo curve“.
