7. Three (3) Step Bottom
Three (3) Step Bottom Section (LDR-5129)

Begin roof stairs directly above sidewall ladder and adjacent to the manway panel. Roof stair sections are
to be centered on roof panel. Begin with three (3) step bottom section (LDR-5129). Align edge of rib
spanning angle (LDR-4149) with edge of roof rib. Field drill hole through rib spanning bracket and roof rib.
Attach roof stair section to roof rib with 5/16" x 1-1/4" bolts. Attach safety cage extension angle (LS-6696)
to roof stair with (LDR-4289) attachment angle as shown. Continue attaching roof stair sections as
indicated by the stair section chart
on Page 14 . Attach manway handrail assembly to lower post of the
three (3) step bottom section and the lower post of the next section. NOTE: If roof does not have a
manway opening at eave, assemble handrails on both sides of bottom stair section.
